Welcome to the Home
of UWCC
The Universities Womens Cricket Club is a
combined association from Sydney University Cricket Club
and the University of NSW Cricket
Club.
In the 2009/10 UWCC will field a 1st Grade and 2nd Grade
team in the Sydney Womens Grade Cricket Competition. For the
first time, the club will also field one junior girls side, for
girls aged 8 to 15 years in the Sydney Rivers Competition.
Our home grounds are the various Sydney University and UNSW
playing fields, including Village Green and David Phillips
Ovals.

The club committee is an important part of
UWCC - without it we are unable to function as a viable club. If you would like
a hand in how the club will run in present and the future we urge
you to come along and volunteer for a committee position.

Aussie Girls Win World Cup T20
Congratulations to UWCC players, Alex Blackwell and Lisa Sthalekar for being part of the Australian Southern Stars and winning the T20 World Cup in the West Indies. A fantastic victory!

Congratulations to Alex Blackwell who has been named Captain
of Australia to take on NZ in the Rose Bowl Series. Lisa
Sthalekar has also been selected in the squad. Good luck
girls!

August: CricHit Program Details
Announced
UWCC Girls CricHit is a
skills based program for girls aged 8-14 years. It commences on
Monday 12th October and will be run for 4 weeks, each Monday
afternoon. Sessions are at 4.30pm until 6.00pm and are
held at the University of NSW Village Green (Baker Street,
Kingsford). Cost is $45 per child. If you would like more
