Welcome to the Home of UWCC

The Universities Womens Cricket Club is a combined association from Sydney University Cricket Club and the University of NSW Cricket Club.

In the 2009/10 UWCC will field a 1st Grade and 2nd Grade team in the Sydney Womens Grade Cricket Competition. For the first time, the club will also field one junior girls side, for girls aged 8 to 15 years in the Sydney Rivers Competition.

Our home grounds are the various Sydney University and UNSW playing fields, including Village Green and David Phillips Ovals.

NSW BREAKERS ON TV

It doesn't happen often so we need to make the most of it when our Breakers stars are televised. This Saturday from 3.30pm tune into Fox Sports to watch the NSW Breakers take on the Victoria Spirit in the final of the Women's T20 Competition.

We will all be heading to the Tech Park Hotel from 3pm on Saturday to watch the game upstairs, so please come along (feel free to bring friends - the more the merrier).

Overall a good weekend of performances from the Uni's grade teams with mixed results.

2nd Grade v Parramatta Blacktown - Another impressive win to 2nds, chasing 172 and making the runs with time to spare. Well done to Tayla Seymour for her 73 not out. Keep up the great work 2nds and we hope to see you in the finals.

1st Grade v Gordon - Unfortunately it wasn't our day and Gordon put on an impressive batting and bowling display. Better luck next week!

Representative News

Congratulations to Alex Blackwell who has been named Captain of Australia to take on NZ in the Rose Bowl Series. Lisa Sthalekar has also been selected in the squad. Good luck girls!

TRAINING

Seniors: Training is every Wednesday at 5.30pm at Sydney Uni Oval #2. 

Juniors (Sydney Rivers) Training is every Wednesday from 4.30pm till 5.30pm at Sydney Uni Oval #2.

26th August: CricHit Program Details Announced

UWCC Girls CricHit is a skills based program for girls aged 8-14 years. It commences on Monday 12th October and will be run for 4 weeks, each Monday afternoon. Sessions are at 4.30pm until 6.00pm and are held at the University of NSW Village Green (Baker Street, Kingsford).  Cost is $45 per child.
