About
UWCC
The Universities Womens Cricket Club was
established in 2002 in order to provide a local playing option
for the many female cricketers attending University of
NSW and Sydney University. The club also welcome
many non-students and students from other universities to
its ranks.
UWCC participate in the Sydney Womens
Grade Cricket Competition and currently field teams in 1st
Grade and 2nd Grade. The most successful season for
Universities was 2007-08 when 1st Grade reached the Grand
Final, and unfortunately went down to Bankstown. The team met
Bankstown again in the semi final of the 2008-09 season and
faced the same result. The girls will be looking for revenge in
the up coming 2009-10 season.
For the first time, UWCC will field a
junior team in the Sydney Rivers Girls Cricket Competition. The
team is for girls aged 8 to 15 years, of all experiences and
playing levels. If you, your daughter or someone you know wants
to get into cricket and is looking for a club to play with,
please contact us via the enquiry form on the here. Our
