UWCC Teams - Junior Girls & Womens Cricket

UWCC Will field the following teams for the 2009-10 Season:

• 1st Grade
• 2nd Grade
• Sydney Rivers (U/15)

1st Grade

The 1st Grade side finished the general 2008/9 season in 4th position and were defeated in a tough semi-final encounter by eventual winners, Bankstown. The team will be looking to improve on this result in the 2009/10 season and aiming to make the grand final for a chance at the club's first premiership.

The 1st grade side includes Australian Representative players Alex & Kate Blackwell and Lisa Sthalekar. Also in the side are NSW Breakers Development Squad player Alison Parkin and ACT Meteors players Sara Hungerford and Kate Owen.

2nd Grade

The 2nd grade side had a mixed season in 2008/9 and often their biggest challenge was fielding eleven players on a weekend. The team focuses on developing their skills and getting the most enjoyment out of their cricket. The players are highly valued at the club and are often called upon to fill in for 1st Grade when players are on representative duty.

Sydney Rivers Girls (U/15s)

The Sydney Rivers Girls Competition is for girls aged 8-15 of all abilities, and is played on a Saturday afternoon.  If you, or someone you know is interested in playing, please contact us via theregistration page now.
